- We currently have a network of over 200 Brigade Training Officers (BTOs) across the UK. There are also a number of leaders, who are not BTOs, helping deliver training utilising a particular skills set e.g. arts and crafts, drill, etc.
- There has been some disparity in the process to become a BTO, and the training involved. There is also no current job description for the role
- The network includes a significant number of individuals who are no longer active in training.
- Our five year strategy focuses on quality – this must start with the people who are going to be delivering training.
